The old Château Seguin property belonged to the Pascal family, a Bordeaux merchant, who produced 35 tons of a wine, which was already very popular at the time. Le Féret mentioned in 1874: “The culminating point of the commune with magnificent gravelly hills, produces generous wines and a great finesse reminiscent of those of Haut-Brion.” Fallen into oblivion during the crisis of the Fifties, Seguin is a fine example of the revival of a vineyard. Since 1987, the owners, the Darriet family, have made every effort to restore the vineyard and its equipment in a modern and rational way.
With the reinforcement, since 1999, of the real estate group Foncière Loticis, investments have multiplied, bringing to the wine the attentions of Grand Cru.
