Located on Noés Hill, Château Haut-Brana is a very ancient estate. A neighbour of Pape Clément, vines
were first planted on gravelly rises at “Brana” in the 14th century by Chevalier Lamotte de Cailhau.
The estate belonged to the Maison de Bel-Air in the 17th century and then to the Jesuits of Sainte-MariedeBardanac
Priory. Two centuries later, Château Hautwas acquired by the Counts Tanquerel de la Panissais.
René Guéret, the son of Michel Guéret, is the present owner.
Starting with the 2014 vintage, work in both the vineyard and the cellar has been entrusted to the Michel Gonet family, who do everything in their power to maintain the wine’s typicity and originality.
